Current development – Dover Priory

With a current dearth of parking available at Dover Priory Station, and with a new high speed rail link due for completion shortly, Dover Priory will resolve the desperate need for improved facilities surrounding the station.

Forming part of a wider regeneration development in Dover, the new multi-storey car park will help to drastically improve local facilities.

Dover Priory - Train Station

The introduction of new high speed services between Dover and London in 2009 prompted the need for better access to Dover Priory Station.

In response to this, and as part of a wider regeneration project for the area, Churchgate and Dover District Council entered into a collaborative agreement to submit a planning application for future development on land adjacent to Dover Priory Station in early 2012. A sale for the land has now been agreed.

Situated to the west of Dover Priory Station in what is now an old goods yard, the land is in the perfect position to serve the growing number of commuters looking to take advantage of the new high speed rail link.

From enhancing access to the station by increasing the capacity, ease of use and attractiveness of travel, to supporting the regeneration of the wider area, the multi-storey development will achieve a number of key objectives for the Council.
